Sports Medicine: What to Expect
Your first visit to Agape’s Las Vegas sports medicine practice will be a thorough head-to-toe assessment. Our doctors will run neurological and orthopedic tests which will allow them to pinpoint the area of concern and create a specific care plan tailored to your individual needs.
For the examination, please wear clothes that will allow you to move freely. We pride ourselves on finding what others could not, and we accomplish this with our thorough exam. The exam includes palpation (feeling bony landmarks, muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc.), neurological assessments, range of motion, orthopedic testing, and laboratory testing/imaging if your case requires it. Most of the time there will be some form of functional testing as well. The exam typically takes about an hour. If your specific case is more involved it may be split between two visits due to the amount of time it may take. At the end of the exam, you will be given a report of findings, meaning you will be given the following; a diagnosis or multiple diagnoses, a treatment plan, lab/imaging may be discussed or a referral to other healthcare providers.
