Cupping Therapy in las vegas and Henderson
What exactly is cupping therapy? Can cupping help you recover, or is it just a fad? That’s what we’re hoping to answer today.
What is cupping therapy?
Cupping is the use of glass or silicone “cups” to create suction on the skin’s surface. We use cupping therapy in Las Vegas to help recovery, remove toxins, increase blood flow, and decrease inflammation in our athletes and non-athlete clients.
Cupping has been used in the US since the time acupuncture was introduced. Chinese and other cultures have thousands of years of research and antidotal results. Michael Phelps helped to bring cupping and taping into modern culture during the 2016 Olympic Games. The crowd noticed red circles on Phelp’s back, which instantly drew attention. After Phelp’s earned 6 medals, it became obvious that he was onto something.
Now we’re not saying that you’ll become Michael Phelps if you get cupping therapy at our Las Vegas location. But we can say for sure that you don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from the therapeutic effects of cupping.
Benefits of cupping therapy
Cupping can positively affect both the physical and mental bodies, clearing toxins and down-regulating the nervous system. Some of our clients have even reported a sense of calm just from being in a healing environment and choosing to spend the time on themselves.
